Vehicle cleaning and detailing

Between the dealer's yard abroad and the handover lie a few hundred kilometres of motorway, usually rain and in winter salt — plus whatever the previous owner left behind.

The work is done between customs clearance and handover: the one moment when nobody is waiting for the car and when the underbody is accessible too.

No flat rates: we do not sell a polish to a car that does not need one.

What detailing covers

Wheels and brake dust: dissolved with an acidic cleaner and neutralised, right into the barrel.
Engine bay: control units covered, little water, plenty of compressed air, plastic and rubber conserved.
Cabin and outside air filters: replaced, filter housing cleaned.
Upholstery and carpet: spray extraction — no tide marks, short drying time.
Paint: clay bar, polish against wash marks, sealant.
Glass, air conditioning, underbody: interior film removed, evaporator disinfected, salt flushed out of the wheel arches.

What it costs

Everything on quote. The work depends on the condition, and a ten-year-old estate is a different proposition from a one-year-old car. We see the vehicle at collection and come back with a proposal before we start. To contact.

Frequently asked questions

Is cleaning included in the import package?

No. Detailing always runs on a quote, because the work depends on the condition. That is also why it does not appear in the import calculator.

Can I book detailing without an import?

Yes. If you already have the vehicle we will detail it just the same — send us a few photos and the work can be assessed.

How long do you keep the vehicle for it?

A thorough clean inside and out we manage the same day. Add paint correction or an ozone treatment and you should reckon on one more day.

Why the cabin filter in particular?

Because it is the item most often forgotten at a service and because you cannot see it. A saturated filter smells, cools less well and lets pollen through.
